This Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings made through Privy Stays Private Limited via privystays.com or any of our authorised booking channels. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, and Damage Policy.
1. Standard Bookings
Cancellation terms for standard bookings are confirmed in writing at the time of booking and will be communicated to the lead guest as part of the booking confirmation. Please review the cancellation terms carefully before confirming your booking.
2. Corporate Booking Cancellations
Cancellation terms for Corporate Bookings are determined at the time of booking, taking into account the booking value, the check-in dates, and the lead time from the date of booking.
The agreed cancellation terms are confirmed in writing as part of the booking confirmation. These terms may differ from the standard Cancellation Policy and shall prevail over it for that specific booking.
Corporate Booking means a booking made by a registered company, partnership firm, LLP, or other legal entity for the purpose of an offsite, retreat, team event, executive stay, client engagement, or any other corporate use, where payment is made from the entity's account.
3. Group Booking Cancellations
Cancellation terms for Group Bookings are determined at the time of booking, taking into account the booking value, the check-in dates, and the lead time. The agreed terms are confirmed in writing as part of the booking confirmation.
Group Booking cancellation terms typically include:
- · A non-refundable advance booking deposit.
- · Tiered cancellation charges based on proximity to the check-in date.
- · Specific provisions for date changes, which may be treated differently from outright cancellations.
Group Booking means a booking involving more than four (4) guests who are not members of a single immediate family, including friend gatherings, milestone celebrations, weddings, and reunions.
Where a booking qualifies as both a Corporate Booking and a Group Booking, both sets of cancellation terms apply, and where there is any inconsistency, the stricter provision prevails.
4. Date Changes
Requests to change check-in or check-out dates are subject to availability and may be treated differently from outright cancellations, as specified in the cancellation terms confirmed at the time of booking. Date changes are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of Privy Stays.
5. Cancellations Due to Events & External Vendors
For Group Bookings that include weddings, milestone celebrations, or events involving external vendors (caterers, decorators, DJs, photographers, or wedding planners), prior written approval from Privy Stays is required before the event takes place. Cancellation of such bookings may be subject to additional event-related conditions, including non-refundable vendor deposits or event preparation costs, as communicated at the time of booking.
6. Immediate Termination Without Refund
Privy Stays reserves the right to terminate a booking immediately and without refund in the following circumstances:
- · Use or possession of illegal substances on the property.
- · Conduct that breaches House Rules and endangers the safety, comfort, or rights of other guests, staff, or neighbours.
- · Damage to the property, its furnishings, or equipment.
- · Any other material breach of these Terms & Conditions or the House Rules.
In such cases, the lead guest and all members of the party may be required to vacate the property immediately, and no refund of any remaining booking amount or security deposit will be issued.
7. Refunds on Cancellation
Where a cancellation qualifies for a refund under the cancellation terms confirmed at the time of booking, refunds are processed exclusively via bank transfer. Refunds are not issued via UPI or any other payment method. The guest will be requested to share bank account details, and the refund will be initiated within 5 to 7 working days of Privy Stays receiving those details.

8. How to Cancel
To cancel a booking, please contact us in writing at info@privystays.com or via WhatsApp at +91 99705 16669. Please include your booking reference or transaction ID, the name of the lead guest, the property and dates booked, and the reason for cancellation.
Cancellations are effective from the date and time Privy Stays acknowledges receipt of your written cancellation request.
9. Disputes
If you disagree with the application of cancellation charges, you may raise a dispute with our Grievance Officer within 7 days of receiving the cancellation notice.

- · Response timeline: We will review and respond within 15 working days.
If the dispute remains unresolved, you may escalate to:
- · The National Consumer Helpline: 1800-11-4000 or consumerhelpline.gov.in.
- · The appropriate civil or consumer court with jurisdiction in Raigad / Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
10. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Alibag (Raigad District), Maharashtra, India.
